The Most Amazing Story Ever Written

Chapter 2 - Written By: Ghost

After a few minutes of blackness, Josh is awoken by a splash of cold water on his face. As he regains his bearings he looks up to see not Jason who he thought he had seen, but a young boy about 12 years old.

“Who are you, Josh asked?”

“I am sorry I scared you like that. My name is Robbie Aniston. I came here because the social worker in Enid said this was where I could find my family. I kept this address in my pocket and when I had the chance to run away, I did. I can't stand no more foster homes.”

Josh was a little confused about this boy and his ramblings, and after a minute of considering what he had just heard he said, “Robbie, I am not sure who told you that you had family here, but I don't think we are related.”

With tears starting to well up in his eyes, Robbie said, “No, it has to be true. Your parents are David and Kate, right?”

Josh slowly nodded his head as Robbie continued.

“My mom was your moms' half sister. She died almost 2 years ago, and my Dad was killed in a car accident about a year before that. They told me at the agency that I had family, but they didn't think I would be wanted there so they put me in foster homes. I kept getting into trouble with my foster parents and finally when Craig, my last foster dad, burnt me with a cigarette, I left.”

Josh looked at the little boy in front of him. What he saw made him get that tingly feeling all over again. Robbie was about five feet tall with red hair and green eyes. He was so thin that Josh was sure he could see ribs through the dirty tee-shirt that Robbie was wearing. As he continued to look him over he saw what appeared to be a cigarette burn on his right knee, just below the hem line of the thread barren shorts that were hugging tight to the small boys frame.

After barely a second worth of concentration, Josh put his arm around the boy and said, “Well, I guess we will have to figure out what to do for you, but it will have to wait until Mom and Dad get home. If you are right about your information, that would make us cousins, and there ain't any way we are going to turn away kin.

With that Robbie seemed to melt into Josh. Josh noticed that he really liked this close contact with Robbie and he was praying that the feeling would never leave.

Robbie started to tell Josh about his life and where he grew up, and before long Josh realized that they had been talking for a couple of hours.

“Robbie,” Josh questioned. “You might want to get cleaned up a bit before my folks get home. You smell like you rolled in the pig pen for a while, no offense. Mom might not like the aroma that you brought into the house.”

Robbie just looked at Josh with innocent eyes and then took a sniff of his arm pits, then scrunched up his nose tight while trying to hold his breath.

“I guess you are right, but I have no clothes that are clean, Robbie said.”

“That's ok, Josh countered. I think I can find some stuff that will fit you. Why don't I show you to the bathroom, and then I will go and look, ok?

“OK.”

Josh showed Robbie to the bathroom and helped him get the water right, and then he left the room in pursuit of clothes for this young boy that was quickly worming his way into his heart.

After a couple of minutes Josh finally found some old clothes of his that he thought would fit. As he turned to go toward the bathroom to give the clothes to Robbie, he appeared in the doorway as naked as a jay bird and dripping wet.

“You forgot to give me a towel, Robbie said.”

Josh looked at the boy in front of him and instantly his gaze was drawn to Robbie's groin where he saw something he had never seen before, other than himself.

Before he could remove his gaze, Robbie said while wiggling his package, “What? Ain't ya ever seen a tally whacker before?”

Josh just turned beet red and in his embarrassment realized that something was stirring in his own pants.

“Hey look,” Robbie giggled as he pointed at Josh's pants. “You got a boner.”

Josh was completely mortified, but was also frozen to the spot.

“I'm so-so-r-rr-y, Josh stuttered. I didn't mean to stare like that. I've never seen anyone else naked before.”

“It's no problem, Robbie said. Besides, we are family. Now how about that towel and clothes?”

Josh handed the clothes to the boy and showed him where to get a towel and then went back to the kitchen.

After a few more minutes passed, Robbie came into the kitchen with his dirty clothes in hand and said, “What should I do with these?”

Josh took them from his little cousin (or so he hoped) and put them into the washing machine and started the cycle. Next he went to the fridge and took out some stuff for sandwiches and made them each a snack.

As they were eating they discussed how to tell Josh's parents when they got home, which would be in about an hour.

Finally Josh looked at Robbie and again started to apologize for staring at his privates. Robbie just said, “I didn't mind. I am not ashamed of my body. Who knows maybe you could show me yours some time, out of fairness.”

Josh again felt the butterfly feelings and while he had never done anything like that in his life, he knew that he would do anything for Robbie.

“We'll see,” Josh said.

Notes from the Editor:

Ghost has done an awesome job of developing a twist in our storyline. I personally am impressed with the writing of one of our youngest authors, even though I am a bit amazed that he did it seriously. My original intention was to spoof chapter 3. I still may, but following the storyline The Story Lover & Ghost have produced, I almost feel as if it would be doing their work an injustice.

Will the next chapter be as thoughtful and well written as the ones before it? Will the next chapter be a complete spoof to throw the entire story in a tail spin? Will the next chapter come out before Josh and Robbie graduate High School (Considering how slow JeffsFort actually get's chapters written)? Only 'time' will tell...
